A new city with established houses

Sandy Springs residents started pushing for cityhood in 1966 and finally voted for it in 2005, with 94 percent in favor. It was the first new city in Fulton County in more than 100 years. The houses, though, came long before the city: most neighborhoods were already built while the area was unincorporated.

That means homes on their third or fourth repaint, kitchens from an earlier era, and townhome communities that repaint on a schedule. We put rot, caulk and siding repairs in writing before any paint, because on houses this age they are usually needed somewhere.
